Why are the high bright displays more expensive? This is due to the enhanced lighting technology used which gives a much high brightness level without degrading the colours that are displayed.
Is the viewing angle a key factor for me? A wider viewing angle will give you around 10 seconds to catch the passer-by attention (average of 5 seconds for classic displays). It makes a big difference for digital signage. In general terms the closer the viewing angle is to 180 degrees the better.
Can I manage the display over my network? “Yes” most of the range has an RJ45 connection and the displays can then be easily managed over the LAN or from a remote connection subject to local IT policies.
What is Fail over? Keeping your content up and running is critical for demanding commercial applications. While it is unlikely you will face a content disaster, FailOver provides 24/7 protection with a revolutionary technology that plays back-up content on screen in the event of a media player failure. This could be crucial advertising or communication messages that have to stay live regardless of the state of the media player.
OPS Modules? Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) slot is designed to make changing or upgrading your media player mere child’s play. Simply plug your media player in to the display - and you’re ready. This slot can also be used for a variety of other modules such as video inputs or extra sound outputs for example.
Is it going to cost a lot to run? With SmartPower feature, the backlight intensity can be controlled and pre-set by the system to reduce the power consumption by up to 50%, which saves substantially on energy costs. There is also the ability to set Eco mode to allow the display to manage the power consumption. The display can also be set to use the sensor that will automatically adjust the brightness according to the ambient light conditions.
