How does Fanless Technology work?

Fitlet, Intense PC, Fit PC… all our computers come with Fanless Technology. Airtop is using Natural Airflow Technology – which operates differently from our mini computers but the overall principle is the same: it’s all about the design!

Let’s take an open-space office with 25 people working each on a computer. Each person will need a PC with an operating system, some memory and storage to run applications, edit documents, send emails, etc.…

To do so, your computer needs to be powered by a CPU and graphics processing unit (like the engine room on a boat) but those two are generating heat (especially the CPU)! That’s why classic computers need fans: otherwise, your PC gets hot and shuts down.

Passive Cooling

With our fanless PCs, the heat generated by the CPU and GPU is dissipated by design – that’s why it’s called “passive cooling”... There is NO FAN to do the work!

More precisely, the full die cast aluminium case is working as a Heat Sink itself (see example below), enabling the heat to disperse. It doesn’t mean that all heat will be dissipated but your PC will run perfectly!

What are the benefits for you?
